In recent years, 3D printing technology has taken the world by storm. It has revolutionized the way we think about manufacturing and design. And with the rise of 3D print farms, it has become easier than ever to mass-produce high-quality products. In this blog post, we'll take a look at the seven biggest 3D print farms in the world.
Gantry 3D Print Farm
Located in the Bay Area, Gantry is a premium lamp producer. They work with industrial designers and independent creators to create very high-quality, unique table lamps and house lamps that they then produce in their print farm of over 1,300 creality machines. These machines have been manufactured by Gantry, and the factory is controlled by their own software. They're continuously working to try to increase the automation and the scale of the farm.
Prusa Print Farm
Almost everybody knows about Prusa Printers, located in Prague. Prusa is a 3D printer manufacturer, and they use 3D printers to make their 3D printers. Prusa's print farm has over 800 3D printers which are helping them to produce hundreds of thousands of machines to sell to customers each year.
Custom Moon Lamps Print Farms
There are several companies in China that are producing custom Moon lamps, but the largest one has 400 machines. They use them to print custom Moon lamps. If you upload a photo, they will imprint that photo on the side of one of those glow or Moon lamps and 3D print it and then ship it to you.
LulzBot 3D Printer Farm
LulzBot is a 3D printer manufacturer that makes premium engineering-grade machines that produce parts with ASA, ABS, and nylon. They have 300 machines in their factories here in the US that allow them to produce their machines. LulzBot uses a version of OctoFarm in order to control all their machines.
Out of Darts Prusa Print Farm
Out of Darts produces Nerf gun mod kits and Nerf guns. They set up a print farm of about a hundred or more Prusa 3D printers over the last several years in their Seattle office. They work with Proto-pasta in order to make all of their materials for their print farm.
i-Solids Print Farm
i-solids is a print service in Texas and has about 120 FDM machines that both include Creality machines and a version of MakerBot. They work with mainly materials like ABS, PETG, nylon, and carbon fiber variants.
Slant 3D Production Print Farms
Slant 3D's 3D Print Farms operate hundreds of machines producing parts for industries from the industrial sector to Etsy stores. They currently have hundreds of machines inside their Mega Farm, which is speced to be expanded to 3,000 machines. All of those machines are manufactured inside of our Boise Megafarm facility.
These are the seven biggest print farms in the world that we're aware of, but if you know of any others that we should take a look at, let us know. With the help of 3D printer farms, the future of manufacturing and design is looking very bright indeed.
